Illuminated Advertising Display Corp.’s first products were illuminated advertising displays manufactured in our Toronto facility. For example, “Open” neon signs that were distributed through Costco Canada, as well as custom illuminated displays for Kraft Foods, Adidas, Häagen-Dazs, Bacardi, Redken and other leading consumer packaged goods companies.
Name was changed to IAD Technologies Corp. We Introduced our successful Coldtech branded chest freezers and merchandisers.
We purchased and moved to a 40,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Georgetown, Ontario. IAD Technologies opened its Engineering Department providing in-house research and development resources. We opened our own metal fabrication department.
Engineered and manufactured the first custom color sliding glass lid solution for chest merchandisers in the industry.
With the advent of the world wide web, IAD launched their company website, increasing awareness of their product and capabilities across the globe.
Expanded our facility with a 6,000 sq. ft. office addition and remodelled the entire manufacturing facility.

12, 20 & 40 Upright merchandiser product launch. IAD achieved supplier agreement with one of the largest purchasers of frozen food merchandisers in North America. IAD completed a sale agreement with W.C. Wood Co., Guelph, Ontario in November where W.C. Wood purchased the Coldtech™ chest freezer brand and began manufacturing and distributing the line. W.C. Wood Co., operating for 76 years, was a global leader in the manufacturing of chest freezers, with facilities in Canada, the US and Mexico.
IAD changed name to Minus Forty Technologies Corp. manufacturing Minus Forty™ branded upright glass door refrigerated display merchandisers.
Focused our business efforts on manufacturing upright glass door merchandisers in our Georgetown facility starting with the 13, 22 and 44 freezers.

Expanded new product performance test room to accommodate growing demand, implemented new production line layout. Installed state-of-the-art metal fabrication equipment to accommodate production demand.
Acquired outside warehousing to accommodate inventory while completing facility expansion. Warehouse expansion and roof-top solar generation system installation complete in December 2013. Upgraded engineering environmental test chambers to allow Minus Forty to test and certify our products to meet government and regulatory body specifications.
Introduced Lean Manufacturing company wide. All team members trained as white belt. Lean Center of Excellence built to accommodate ongoing Lean and Training objectives. Appointed Zach Attree as Innovation Manager. New position to manage new product/technology selection and development process.
Upgraded Minus Forty’s network and servers to accommodate growth and increase productivity. Eco-friendly R290 refrigerant fully implemented into production for all cabinets. Uprights are certified to DOE 2017 energy efficiency standards.

Official kick-off of our plant expansion project to double the size of our current facility.
